- Playgroups
Children of the same age get together, along
with their moms, each week
to play and share. Each member of the playgroup can choose to "host",
and the Playgroup Coordinator, who is a member of the playgroup, will
help decide whose house is used each week. - Stroller Walks
A day, time and place is selected and generally
listed on the calendar,
along with an RSVP person. Bring your children and a stroller, of
course, and enjoy the company of other Moms while getting some
exercise. - Park Days
A general all-age play date for kids
and their Moms, and a good chance to meet other members. Various parks
are used. - General Monthly Meeting:
Where we have speakers on various issues,
crafts for Moms and kids,
discussion groups, votes on major issues relating to the club, and a
general, all-age play period for the children. - MOMS Night Out:
This happens once a month and is without
children and for members only.
It is almost always on a weeknight and can be nearly any kind of
activity, from dinner and a movie, to soapmaking! It's fun to
meet
other members of the club and to learn new things. - Service
Project:
This is a contribution by MOMS Club members to
local charities, either with time, a little money, or products. Some
projects have included a Diaper Drive, a Canned Food Drive, a
walk-a-thon, sponsoring a family, raffles and a Penny Drive. - Field
Trips:
These can occur once to twice a month and are
aimed at children of
all-ages and their Moms. They are a chance to get out of the area and
see or do new things. Some events have gone to the beach for a day, to
a Museum, to a farm to see animals, to an
orchard to pick apples, or any fun thing we can think of to get us out
there!
